What is this beautiful flower and how do I take care of it?

Hello, Any help is much appreciated! I went to a funeral yesterday and the plant that the family gave away was this beautiful mini flowered orchid (I believe). Does anyone know how I should care for it and what it is called? Thank you so much for any help!

This is an Oncidium orchid, very likely Onc. Sharry Baby. This is one of the most common Oncidium hybrids, and with good reason: they are beautiful, and most are very fragrant too. They like typical Oncidum care, and with time can grow into quite large specimens.

Enjoy!

Stunning!

I could get lost looking at that orchid! I really hope I can find one like that one day, when I have somewhere to successfully keep it anyway, looks huge! I am constantly amazed by orchids and how unique the different types are... I have to be dragged away from them when I see them in shops now. I've got nowhere to put the ones I already have, oops! Love this site, so full of knowledge and information :)

I have an Oncidium Sharry Baby

I know what a wonderful orchid this can be after having seen it many times in orchid shows and on vendor sales tables. I purchased a small one at Home Depot about 2 years ago and it keeps getting bigger and better each year- most recently putting out about a dozen flower spikes! I live in South Florida where I'm able to keep my orchids outdoors all year and that's probably one reason it has done so well for me
